Monestra Financial Disclaimer

Financial Disclaimer

Last updated: 18 August 2026

In one sentence

Monestra is a record-keeping tool, not a financial adviser. Nothing in the app is advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or do anything with your money.

1. What Monestra does

Monestra stores information you enter about your own finances and performs arithmetic on it. When it tells you that a holding is 32% of your portfolio, or that a policy renews in twelve days, or that a goal is 60% funded, it is describing your own data back to you. That is the whole of what it does.

2. What Monestra does not do

Monestra does not provide investment advice. It does not recommend that you buy, sell, hold, trim, diversify, rebalance, or exit any security, fund, or asset. It does not assess whether any investment is suitable for you, and it knows nothing about your risk tolerance, tax position, time horizon, obligations, or circumstances.

Monestra does not provide insurance, tax, legal, retirement, or estate advice, and does not recommend any insurer, policy, product, or provider.

Monestra does not solicit or distribute any financial product. We earn no commission, referral fee, or other payment from any financial institution, product provider, or third party. Our only revenue is the price you paid for the app.

3. We are not registered as an adviser

Aneri Parikh is not, and does not hold herself out as:

Monestra is software you use on your own data, in the same category as a spreadsheet or a ledger.

4. Insights and analysis

Monestra highlights facts about your records — concentration, renewal dates, lapsed cover, stalled goals, aged prices. These are observations, not recommendations. Deciding what, if anything, to do about them is entirely yours.

Insights are generated by simple deterministic rules. They do not account for your circumstances, and they may be irrelevant, mistimed, or wrong for you. A fact that is true of your data is not thereby advice about your life.

5. Projections and valuations

Any figure Monestra projects — goal pace, "at this rate you will finish by", vesting schedules, depreciation, ESPP discount value — is arithmetic on the assumptions you supplied. It is not a forecast, a guarantee, or a prediction of any outcome.

Asset values, including market-priced holdings, are estimates. Where market data is enabled, prices are daily, end-of-day figures from third parties and may be delayed, stale, or incorrect. Monestra does not provide real-time market data.

Past performance is not indicative of future results. The value of investments can fall as well as rise, and you may get back less than you invested.

6. The AI assistant

Monestra's assistant runs on your device and is instructed to describe only figures the app has already calculated, and never to invent numbers or give financial advice.

It is a beta feature and it can be wrong. Language models make mistakes, including confident ones. Nothing it says is advice or a recommendation.

Always verify anything important against the underlying records in the app before acting on it.

7. Accuracy is your responsibility

Monestra cannot verify anything you enter. It has no connection to any bank, broker, insurer, or exchange, and no way to check a balance, a holding, or a policy against reality. If your inputs are wrong, everything Monestra shows you will be wrong, including your net worth.

Monestra is not a substitute for your account statements, contract notes, policy documents, or tax records. Where Monestra and an official document disagree, the official document is correct.

8. Get proper advice

Financial decisions have consequences that depend on your specific circumstances — your obligations, your tax position, your family, your timeline, your risk tolerance. Monestra knows none of these things.

Before making any significant financial, investment, insurance, or tax decision, consult a qualified professional who is registered or authorised in your jurisdiction — in India, a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser; elsewhere, the equivalent.

9. No liability for your decisions

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we accept no liability for any financial, investment, insurance, or tax decision you make, or for any loss you suffer, whether or not that decision was informed by anything shown in Monestra. See Section 9 of our Terms of Use.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
