Keyboard shortcuts

What a keyboard gets you on a Mac, and on an iPad with one attached.

Monestra's own#

ShortcutDoes
⌘KOpen Find — search records, destinations and actions
↑ ↓Move through Find results
↵Open the selected result
escClose Find
⌘ZUndo your last edit
⇧⌘ZRedo

Through Find rather than a key of its own#

Several actions have no dedicated shortcut because they are one ⌘K away. Type a word or two and press ↵:

TypeAction
hideHide values (mask everything)
lockLock the app now
back upTake a snapshot
settingsOpen Settings
add subNew subscription

This is deliberate. A shortcut you have to memorise for every action is worse than one shortcut that reaches all of them.

System shortcuts that work#

Standard macOS behaviour applies: ⌘W closes the window, ⌘Q quits, ⌘, opens Settings, and ⌘F searches within a list where one is focused.

On iPad#

Every shortcut above works with a hardware keyboard attached. Hold ⌘ to see what is available on the current screen.

On iPhone#

There is no keyboard, so Find is a tab in the bottom bar — the same panel, reached by tapping instead.

This manual describes what Monestra does with the records you enter. It is not financial advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or arrange anything.
